Nurturing the Next Generation: Becoming the Best Version of You

Spending an afternoon with the students of ST&T Regency School, Ikeja, left me deeply inspired. I was invited to speak on Becoming the Best Version of You,” but what unfolded went far beyond a speech, it became a meaningful exchange of ideas, questions, and possibilities.

From the moment I stepped in, I could feel their curiosity. Teenagers are at such a defining stage of life, learning who they are and what they stand for. When we equip them early with self-awareness, discipline, confidence, and strong values, they become unstoppable.

I didn’t lecture, we had conversations about mindset, ambition, independence, peer pressure, discipline, and being God-conscious in today’s world. Their questions were honest, and their willingness to listen and think deeply reminded me how powerful youth engagement can be.

In that room, I didn’t see students, I saw future leaders, innovators, and changemakers ready to shape their world.

At the Saudat Salami Foundation, we’ll continue to pour into young people intentionally, helping them grow, question, and become the best versions of themselves. Because when they rise, Africa’s future rises with them.
